Gary Burch, Bricktex's Managing Director, is about to embark on one of the toughest endurance challenges imaginable, all in the name of charity.

Sponsored by Bargate Homes, Gary, the managing director of Bricktex, is taking on the renowned Goggins Challenge on Friday, March 6 to raise £10,000 for the The Amelia-Mae Foundation.

The challenge itself is formidable: running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 consecutive hours, totalling 48 miles. But Gary is raising the stakes even further, by completing every mile with a fridge strapped to his back.

The Amelia-Mae Foundation provides vital support to families of seriously ill children, funding specialist equipment, therapies, and practical assistance when it is needed most. The funds raised through this challenge will directly support the Foundation’s life changing work.

“As a parent myself, this challenge feels about so much more than miles or endurance. Yes, carrying a fridge for 48 miles will be tough but it’s nothing compared to what the children and families supported by the Foundation face every single day. If pushing myself physically and mentally can help ease even a small part of that journey for them, then every step, every sleepless hour, and every ache will be worth it. I’m doing this for them.”

The team at Bricktex is rallying behind Gary as he prepares for the 48 hour endurance test, encouraging clients, partners, and the wider community to donate and show their support.
